" ; 9:36 PM "
Hi guys. today was one of the most moving experiences of my life.
I actually inspired someone, and strengthened their faith.
During English today, we were studying volcanoes right, and talking about how it affects our climate and global temperatures etc etc?
Well, you see, it led to talking about Global Warming.
And then Rach was like "Ah, nevermind, we're all going to die in two years anyway."
And since my talk with mum (after Christie mentioned the same thing)
I was like, Are you one of those people that actually believe that?
And Rach says Yeah, you know there's this guy, who dreams of prophecies and stuff. He dreamt that the world will end in two years' time. All his past dreams have come true and now I'm really scared.
I said. RACHEL. these people, they just want attention. They are totally misleading the world, because the world will believe anything it wants to. Let God be the decider please, it's Him who decides, not these people. So you don't need to believe them. Because, in the Bible, it states that God will come down and fight the final battle, and then the world will end.
And, seriously Rachel, leave it up to God. Do not let these people get you down. I mean, you just need to be strong in your faith. Just pray, God has his reasons for everything. So if He wants the world to end tomorrow, so be it. But do not believe it just because the scientists, or these fakes say so.
And Rachel said to Jing Wei "Wow, her Faith is so strong"
And you know what? Thanks. I was really moved by that. Because seriously, this is the first time i've done something like this. I guess after having been entered to TNG, I've been feeling closer and closer to God each week. Worship's always working out, motivational, I understand sermons, and try to apply them to my life.
And Cell? it's comforting to know that people my age are going through the same thing as me.
Cell discussions are great. And I just totally need to share this with them this week.
And then in class, rach fessed up that she wasn't really strong in her faith.
So then i told her that I'd pray for her.
And then just now, when i was thinking and mulling this situation over
I was listening to my ipod and the hymn "Still" appeared on shuffle.
I seriously do not think it was coincidental.
Really, let's take a look at the lyrics shall we?
It's not just a random hymn okay.
Hide me now
Under your wings
Cover me
within your mighty hand
[Chorus]:
When the oceans rise and thunders roar
I will soar with you above the storm
Father you are king over the flood
I will be still and know you are God
Find rest my soul
In Christ alone
Know his power
In quietness and trust
Okay analysis time now, you see. (Practicing Lit skills too!)
"When the oceans rise" --> probably referring to rising sea levels, which would symbolise Global warming, yknow?
"Thunders roar" --> The rest of the world that use all kinds of excuses and made up stories to distract you
"I will soar with you above the Storm" --> When your faith gets renewed, when you should pray, and just leave it all up to the Lord
"King over the flood" --> God controls His own creation, leave it be. He'll protect you.
"I will be still and know you are God" --> Self explainatory?
Okay. So yes, everything is said and done for a purpose.
I inspired Rach!(:
Yay. She said i strengthened her faith.
And I shall keep Jane and Chris in prayer
