Dance. O:
Yeah, we're one,
Ohana ohanaaa.
Live on. Burn bright. We'll pull through together.
Woah, we had the craziest time today. The most moving experience since dance night.
We were just dying in our hoodies from rehearsing like mad. Trying our best to stop screwing our blocking and brush up on our steps. We were really discouraged and stuff, and then Arielle was quite pissed off and stuff, as were the other dance seniors.
So us juniors really wanted to buck up. But there were still those feelings between us and the cheerleaders.
Yeah, quite late but in case you guys didn't know. Cheer closed down, so the sec one cheerleaders who auditioned for dance have now crossed over to join dance. And i don't know what it is, but somehow cheerleaders and dancers don't really get along well. I don't know why. I don't have a problem with them. But the others do did.
Maybe it's the stereotypical thing of them being all head strong and bimbotic, no seriously, i don't have a problem with them at all. but then again, that's what everyone else things about dancers. And from my experiences, it really goes to show how wrong first impressions may be right?
Yup, so then because the cheerleaders weren't really showing their full commitment, and totally just being lethargic and stuff. They weren't giving it their full, so the sec one dancers got real pissed, about how they were taking dance for granted, and not listening and everything... Okay, now at that point, I did have some problem with that. I just can't stand people who take things for granted.
Mmm, and then the dance seniors were talking to us about how only a bunch of the juniors were attempting to give it their best shot. Kaela felt real sick, heat stroke i think. Nicole felt like quitting. Jo anne was really pissed. Mmm, and then we had break. Where Jo anne brought up all the points I just said. And then we went back up to practice by ourselves. We kinda discussed amongst ourselves about how we'll show them how they're making fools of themselves by not listening and stuff.
Yeah. So we practiced by ourselves, then Angie came with the other dance seniors like Jewel, Sam Pang,Marie,Nut and Ru Hui. And we practiced together, cuz we didn't want to disappoint Arielle.
MmHmm. Yeah, then we had another 5 minute break, where the sec one dancers just sat in a circle. Feeling bad for each other. Then Angie came over to ask us what was the matter. So everyone just kinda poured their hearts out. one thing let to another to another, and soon the waterworks spread. Nut cried real bad.
Wow,
Jo,Kaela,Nat,Naomi,Nicole,Rajali,Arielle,Nut,Angie. I love you guys truckloads.
And we just got everything out in the open. About how the standard of dance may be pulled down by juniors like us, and how we might not live up to what the seniors like the current (oh so talented) Sec 3s have worked for.
And the feeling that we're inferior, and our technique is a no-go, and how with the new dancers (Cheerleaders) things might get even worse. And then Ange and Arielle talked things out with us, and encouraged us. And then they talked to the cheerleaders for us, so in the end, we heard their point of view. So then I felt really quite bad, so did the rest of us. Yeah, then after apologising, we cleared all our hard feelings, and then everyone did a much better job on stage. goes to show how small words can go such a long way. Well, sorry I misjudged you guys aite? And welcome to the family.
(annagrace,maria,lesley,naomi)
heartheartheart.
And to Nut,Julvian,Estelle and Ru Hui : Hey i think you guys are degrading yourselves, and your tears are only being shed for the others who don't make the effort to come and try their best. Your talent is beyond measure alright?
To the Sec 3 seniors
(Angelene,Arielle,Marie,Suzanne,Jocelyn,Jia Hui,Samantha Pang,Jewel)
Thanks.
