" Poetry & Aeroplanes ; 6:25 PM "

Hey guys. :D I'm posting about the aeroplane trip. :D Soooo, it may be counted as day one? IDK. but I put day one in another post, so here goes.

20th November
It's 9 pm now. And we're preparing for landing. Ow my ears. Amazingly, I feel fine, as opposed to the air sickness i usually feel when travelling. You know, i hate the smell of the aeroplane, and the blankets are all static-y, and it's darn stuffy, breathing in the air of the general population of the plane. :/

The Jetstar Asia seats are leather(well fake at least), and way comfier, no static. But there's no leg room. You can pay $15 for more leg room, but heck, it's just 3 hours. Everything from the airport to the plane itself is way overpriced. A 3 hour flight... Not that bad

Although the stink of the airplane is as always. Fairly revolting. Worse than SIA. Ugh, I'll just hold my breath. My feet are super numb in my shoes. Mum's sitting next to me while my brother is occupying the window seat, and she's(MY MUM) swooning over Obama's book, "Dreams from my Father"

Apparently, he's as skilled a writer as "To Kill a Mocking Bird" 's Harper Lee. Wow. Is there anything that the guy can't do? Oh yeah. Dance. HAHAH! Mm. My math is getting rusty.
Oh, ouch. Touch down. it's rough. And we're going to be on our way to Novotel, his hotel chain which Uncle Jeff (Aunty Elaine's husband) works high up in. Executive something or other. Thanks to him, we've got VIP rooms. Oh yeaaah, neat. Real neat. Apparently there's a Hard Rock Cafe round the corner.

Sweet. I'm going to keep ranting until I'm not bored. I found out just now, before I left, that Chris is ushering for FHL, OW! Okay, that was touchdown, and at this point my handwriting gets atrocious and illegible. Oooh. Budget Airlines. Anyway, so she doesn't need tickets. Dang. I'll ask Jus, then.

OMG! okay. It's 10.49 pm now. I could not be more pleased with the hotel. Well, the hour long cab drive was quite worth it. Uncle Jeff rocks big time! The entertainment is like... Those durian ladies from OCC! hahaha. We is VIPs maaaanz. We get special service ok! Pineapple juice and cold towls and extra nice service.

Omg, I heart! I already saw a Zara and mango at Siam Parragon. So far, Bangkok owns. (: hee hee hee. Omg I'm so happy. And the locals are so friendly. Yahhh! Just got better. We were showed to our room! (: And my handwriting is getting more and more illegible because I'm shaking with laughter. FREE CHOCOLATES OK! not the cheap ones some more! High crass wun! The kind you find at Chocz.

:O And the concierge (OMG, IT WAS THE ASSISTANT MANAGER) showed us to our room. So good la the service. And the rooms only what, S$140 per night? Whereas in Singapore you can't even get such good service for more than $200. This place is tons better. Yaaahhh!

Just came back from dinner. It--- yo, cool. I CAN GET MTV! Oh yeah. Whoops, back to the point. Dinner wasn't necessay. Now I'm bloated. But mum was hungry. Anyway. it was about 11pm when we got out. And it was late, so we couldn't get a place to eat. Anyway, this really cute old lady who works in Novotel stopped us and talked to us alot. So hospitable, really. You will never ever find something like that in Singapore. It's tragic.

So anyway, we found out she could speak hokkien :) Whole lot better for communication. Then she packed us up in a (classic!) tuk-tuk! :D teehee, the lady was super cute. My parents think it was a set up, to advertise for the restaurant thou. And the tuktuk driver, well not only him, possibly everone we've met, was friendly and chatty. Let me tell you, a tuk tuk has the horsepower of one motorcycle, and the size of it is a quarter of an SBS bus.

4 of us on a mere trishaw sized vehicle, that's really something innit? The old lady wasn't the only one who helped us, we got regular tourists helping us out, too. I have to get used to the niceness, and then get torn apart when I have to leave. :(

They're really so nice! The tuk-tuk was real fragile, looked like it wasn't able to support all our weight. Especially through the turns in the uneven lanes, you could literally feel the bottoms groaning. Amazingly, we pulled through. Well, what can I say? God's amazing. The tuk tuk driver was going uber fast and I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. really, Ijust love their laif back lives, it's so simple.

We go to the place. I counted, the trip was 40 baht, equivalent to S$2. It was a real thrill, though my butt is sore now. It's really fun! I've opened my eyes to other people's outlook on life. It makes me happy. We got to dinner and I still couldn't stop smiling. The people are just too cute. The restaurant manager came and greeted us from the tuk tuk. And we got to the seafood restaurant while we were waited upon by 4 different waiters.

One to show us to our seats, the 2nd to take our order, the 3rd one to serve us our food, and the last one to clear our plates. There was this one waiter who showed us a magic trick with a toothpick. Really, the locals here aer just so cool. And they all comment/compliment(?) on Justin's roundness and chubbiness.

HAHHA! Teehee. Dinner was good but real overpriced? Anyway, on the way out from dinner, we saw Mr. Houdini massaging a couple of other tourists' heads. Jack of all trades master of none I guess.

Then we caught a cab, and of course the driver was cute, too. Recommending and advertising for Chinatown. They all either speak teochew, hokkien or a lil bit of english. Haha. it's funny how each taxi driver/local has their own fave spots in town. (: So we let them take us wherever they think is the best run for our money.

Really, can't stop smiling. The people are just so nice. That must be the 100th time I've said that. This is the most I've smiled because of people who, I do not know. Kinda cool really. xD Can't wait for tomorrow. Siam paragon awaits. And it's a mere street away. OK. I'm gonna go bathe now. It's 1 a.m. Singapore 12.a.m, BK.

Step back and hear i'm calling.
